What Cams are you running?

I've been looking into cams, and the CC305 has caught my eye. I also found this one:
Part #: 40-104227 Crane LT1 Camshaft, 210 / 224, .479 / .518 112 LSA, Mild cam with extremely strong powerband...One of our favorites!

This will be going on my Lt1/T56 '88 Trans am. march underdrive pulley, coated Hooker 2055s, Delteq setup..that's all for now. I'd l ike a performance cam, with not a lot of lope as this car will be driven on the dtreet daily.

I'm just wondering your thoughts on these cams, and post what cams you've got, and the advantages/disadvantages they have.

Couldn't be happier with the crane 210/224. It drives like the stocker for daily driving, but with more power from idle to the rev limiter. See my #'s for track #'s. I have a 6-speed conversion on the way, so I'm interested to see what it traps at since I probably won't be launcing it that hard with my stock 10 bolt.

This is another request that would be well served with a search for "Crane
227", "CC305", etc. And while you have that search button out you might as
well check out valve springs, timing sets, etc., because there is a ton of good
information available.

You can see my sig for info. Crane 227 here. Very happy with the cam.

Re: What Cams are you running?

Im running the CC XE 227/233 on a 111LSA. I love it! I ran the cc305 before this and I really liked the cam as well but wanted something a lil bigger to keep me satified for a little while longer.

Re: What Cams are you running?

I would personally wouldn't give the cc305 much of a look. You can get the hotcam kit so much cheaper and the cam specs are very similar. When i was looking for a cam i wanted something i thought could pass emissions so i looked into the cc305 but i decided the HCK was a better deal. Then i realized screw it, you are only gonna do this once hopefully, so i went with the 230/236. It pulls like a ***** in the midrange. It has some cam surge, but nothing that can't be lived with.
