Well, i know with just regular bolt ons im not gonna go any higher then 280 rwhp if that. Im looking to get in the mid 300rwhp and i wanna put in a cam, want to call comp cams and see what they can do for me. I drive this car once a week not a daily driver at all. Im looking for a cam that will make me good power, i can re-send my computer back to Ion and have him re-tune for the cam. What cams would you guys suggest and what i would need along with the cam, also any good mechanic around southern california that does a good job on the install. Im mostly worried that if they take off my waterpump theyll soak my opti, dont want anything else to get damaged as a result. My car is a 1994 Z 6speed, has and will have following mods: Long tubes, no cats, exhuast cut out, flowmaster, K&N intake, Air foil, Delete plug, MadZ28 Tune and 4.10's the car has 165,000 miles its running strong and holds good oil pressure no issues. What do you guys suggest i would appreciate the help since lots of people on here are very experienced.

 

I would recommend calling Lloyd Elliot or Advanced Induction. They can grind you a cam custom to what you want. For an install guide, look no further than shoebox:

And a shop depends on where you are in so cal. The cam is definitely doable on your own, but if you want to take it to a mechanic, make sure he knows his way around the LT1. I've taken mine to a Corvette shop just because of their knowledge of my engine.
