what cam lube should i get

what cam lube should i get

the cam is the custom comp cam grind for the le2 package but did not come with any lube. can i just use some leftover from an edelbrock cam install.

yeah.

you can also buy cam lube at oreilly's or advance. or some people use just regular engine oil. plenty of options.

You don't need assembly lube like a non-roller cam would use. I used the
GM EOS (engine oil supplement) for this purpose and it worked fine. You
can search on this topic for lots of info.

I would go so far as to call a heavy "cam lube" a BAD idea. Those are meant for getting flat tappets to spin and mate to lobes that is not an issue we need to worry about. Engine oil or the like.

You don't need to use cam lube, just use some motor oil.
