What Cam?

will be getting longtubes. I never really got this question answered before. Daily driver, A4. Dont want anything small like the hotcam, but nothing HUGE, like the GM847. Looking to rev the car to 6200Rpms max probably, and want decent power down low, not a cam I need to rev super high for power. Was thinking ZZ409, 224/230 on 111 or 112 LSA, 227/233 on 112 LSA, and what others are a good choice? How do they all compare? Also, whats the specs on the CC305 cam? And whats Llyod Elliots webpage? Thanks. This car will also only have stock heads on it, and wont have a stall right away, but within 2 years it will. Thanks

Re: What Cam?

If you dont have a stall and wont be getting one at install, the 227/233 isnt for you probably. I will be most likely going with this. It hits max power at 6400 so you could spin to your 6200 and still be good but you would need a stall for this cam. They recommend at least 3000 stall for this cam.

The 224/230 would prolly be a good cam for your application. TurboZ , is running this cam and he could help you on this cam.

Good luck with your choices.

On what LSA? What are the specs on the CC305? Bigger or smaller than the 224/230?

Re: What Cam?

heres the CC305 specs although i think you can find some ground on a 112 LSA someplaces if you want the lopier idle. im running this cam and i like it. has the power down low i want, im using stock heads though, and i wont be spinning it to fast due to a higher milage engine. also have the 1.6 rr to increase the lift some.

CC305 = 220 / 230, .510 / .510 114 LSA
