Re: What cable
Well I just tried to scan my car using my Auto-Xray scanner. I used my OBD II cable but scanned it as an OBD I. NOTHING... Also tried to scan it as an OBD II with the same result.
I'd get up with AKM cables and ask them what you need.

The only two wires you should need to scan the car are a power and PCM wire. Both of wich lead back to the PCM. You should be able to an OBD II cable. I'll have to throw the scanner on my 94 and see what happens.

Re: What cable
The 95 speciffic cable would not work with my Auto Xray. Don't know if the problem is related to the OBD II connector with an OBD I PCM or not. I suppose it will just be easier to install an OBD I connector and be done with it.

Re: What cable
ok here is what you do
go to http://akmcables.com/ic.htm and you want item number 2. if you are using a newer laptop you prob wont have rs232 cable port, so you need to get the usb kit cost is 90 dollars.
dont let anyone tell you it wont work cause they are fullof crap.
I have a 96 with a obd1 conversion, and it is what i use.
