engine is out car and a new to me used motor will bo going in later next week. what should i buy while the motor is out.
My list so far is:
Hyperflex bushing kit $165 from summit
GoodYear Hi miler kit $100 from jcwhittney
Solid Motor Mounts ???

I already bought moroso blue max wires, accel coil and ngk plugs.

 

is the car modded any?

 

i relocated the intake air sensor, otherwise it's pretty much stock

 

im giving my opinion based on the car will be on the road in cali.
i suggest poly motor mounts.
headers
ported and polish heads with good springs and bigger valves
new o2 sensors
cold air induction
have the intake ported for a 58mm (might as well while its apart)
and port match in to your heads.
52/58mm TB if you do heads/cam or stroker
a "better" cam
might as well put a higher stall TC while its accessible
electric water pump
double roller timing set
you could have a stroker built
i suppose you wanted to mod it??? its so much easier when the motor is out.

Can't afford new heads such as the 195 afr lt4, group purchases on this board suck, you guys back out more than Grey Davis. I picked up a 95 z28 for 1500, the trans is trash, but the motor was good, as well as the rest of the car. I will upgrade to power everything in the car, fog lights, airbags, dash pieces, hood, fenders, and anything else i need for my heap.

 

At least do headers and roller rockers with valvesprings.


BTW what are you doing with the '93 motor?

 

my mechanic is doing the work on my car for the motor, you don't want anyway, it has cracked heads and I drove her hard till she died.
