I posted this in the stereo LS1 tech and general discussion forums but had no response. So you guys are my last hope:

It's actually for my wife's Sunfire, but the stereo is similar enough to the 4th Gen Firebirds that I figured I'd ask here.

All the stereo repair places I call are more than happy to repair, but won't well parts over the counter (no thanks.....I know how to solder).

Do any of you guys have a source or at least know the voltage of the small white bulbs used to backlight the orange display screen on stock Pontiac stereos? I've already dissasembled it and can't find anything that matches at Radio Shack.

Any ideas?

 

TRy another radio shack. I would guess its the same bulb as the ones in the steering wheel controls. I replaced mine, found them at radio shack, 12v should work.
