What brand and type of Heads and Cam to buy????

I have a 94 Z28 with a leaking head gasket that needs to be changed. I figure that I will put on some new heads and a new cam while the heads are off. Id like to put on some heads and cam that will add some HP. I am not too familiar with cylinder heads and camshafts, so I was wondering if there are any good H/C packages for a car like mine...

I dont have and anything done engine wise except a few bolt-ons.

Im guessing the car has between 325-350 HP and Id like to get up to the 400 HP area.

Also will there be any thing else I will need to do, such as new pistons or anything else internal or maybe a new TQ converter?

There is alot of power to be gained from your stock castings, Lloyd Elliot or Advanced Induction both do good portwork and can set you up with some nice flowing heads and a nice cam. Either of those will work to get you to your goal. As mentioned above, the Hotcam kit is another option, it may not get you quite 400hp at the crank, but it will still add a modest amount of power, it is very affordable, and it is very street and emissions friendly.
