What best converter for mostly stock?

For a 1994 Forumla A4 with unknown gears, we are estimating 3.73's though. (about 2800 at 72 or so).....it seems to eb abnormally fast and powerful.

I want to get a higher stall for it, what is the best one to get, for performance. It will be stock engine for at least another year or two. And will I need to get a tranny cooler? Thanks

i would def. recommend a tranny cooler if you plan on moding your car.

and i wouldnt go past 2600 or 2800 on a stock car.

First of all, If ur at 2800 at 72 MPH, u probably have 3.42s and not 3.73s. I've had both, and I was at like 3300 around when i was in the low 70 MPH range.

If ur going with a new Converter, I would recommend a 2800-3000 stall by Vigilante. I have seen ppl shave the most off their times with this converter. I'm also very happy with mine. A tranny cooler is definitely necessary with a higher stall, because ur going to be generating more heat through ur tranny fluid, and a tranny cooler and knock the temp down about 20 degrees.
