Arrow What is the best cam for a daily driver??

I was wanting something a little more aggressive than the hotcam b/c i heard that it's not the best for a daily driver. So any ideas?? I would also like to do 1.6rr's at the same time so any good combinations and what all do you need to complete a cam install?? Also roughly how long will it take to do and how much will a shop charge u for it?

i have the xe 224/230 and 1.6 rr, it hasn't been tuned yet but still drives great as a daily driver. you have to slip the clutch a little more so that it doesn't stall, and there is a little cam surge when drivng slowly in first or second, other than that its great.

you want something more aggressive than the hot cam because that's too much for daily driving? I've got a cc304 ill sell ya 266/276 114lsa

if you want something mild, stock springs should be ok, um, prob get charged somewhere in neighborhood of 600 or so if you dont hve to take heads off, its a pain to change... maybe 12 hour job

I've heard alot of good things about the XE224. I've heard that it is similar to the LT4 HOTCAM, but makes a little more power up top, and you won't run into the vaccuum problems that plague many with larger cams like the CC306 or sometimes even the CC305. I'm currently deciding between the LT4 HOTCAM or the XE224, depending whcih haeds I decide to go with (TPIS AFR's vs. Llyod Elliot poprted LT1 castings)
