i just wanted to know what some of your guys opinions were about cams. I was thinking about getting a LT4 hotcam in the spring/summer, money providing. What cam will give you a nice idleing sound and good hp, ya know all the good stuff. What's the best "bang for your buck?" Just wanted to know, thanks

 

Well I was originally gonna go with hotcam kit but for only 100.00 more shipped I got a comp xe grind 224/230 112LSA and it comes to about .545 lift, comp dual coil valve springs, hardened pushrods, 1.6 roller rockers, and a timing chain all that cost 608.00 from cmotorsports.com So I got a bigger cam and a timing chain and hardened push rods for only 100 more than the hotcam kit I think thats pretty good. They are also great guys to deal with.

I got the XE 224/230 112 lsa as well...

 

The 224/230 package is great if you're keeping your stock heads. Personally I'd go with the 230/236, if you don't have to worry about emissions.
