What parts would I need to install a cc305 into my car? Like what lifters, roller rockers, springs, ect ect ect. I'm not that knowledgable when it comes to the drivetrain.

well you would definately want to get some springs. the stock lifters should be ok if they are still in good condition but wouldnt hurt to change em out since you are in there already. you could get away with some SA roller rockers on that cam i would guess cause you wouldnt really have to spin that high.

I would think the bare minimum to get by would be a spring that could handle around .600 lift at the valves, roller rockers (Pro-Mags preferably) 1.6's. A set of 7/16'' studs. New spring seats, locks, and retainers (Preferably 10* locks and retainers) New stock replacement valve seals.

Stock lifters ( If their in good shape ), If not, some aftermarket ones ( Not Comp R's though, see sticky at top of page )

New pushrods, I am not sure what length, stock is 7.2" but switching cams could change the length of rod required.

Also, if your replacing the valve train, it would be wise to get Hardened pushrods and guideplates, such as the Magnum, or High-Tech rods from Comp. ISKY makes adjustable guideplates, called a AGP-200

Assembly lube is a must. Also, you will need to check from the cam manufactuer what the installed hieght is for the valve springs, and see which springs they suggest. I dont really know which springs owuld be correct for that cam, but I do know that the Comp Bee Hives are pretty popular, dependable, and reasonably priced.

You would need new waterpump gaskets too by the way. And since the pump is coming off, new antifreeze would be worth it too. Also, if your changing the lifters, you have to soak them in oil before you install them so they dont collapse when you try to start it.

Email me if you want to know a little more about making a pretty solid valve train, I just ordered all my stuff off of Bret the other day, and I think I have a pretty good understanding of what parts work, and what doesnt, aside from which pushrod length to get, you would need to talk to someone more knowledgeable for that such as Bret, one of the manufactures, or maybe someone like L.E. even. Im sure someone will point you in the right direction. Bret has delt with me over countless stupid emails and questions, so dont be afraid to ask.

What he said pretty much, I am doing a cc305 also, Comp cams does recommend a 7.2 in (stock length).
