At what age did your opti crap out?
At what age did your opti crap out?
I'm tracking down the infamous LT1 hesitation problem. So far replaced O2, tested IAT, checked fuel pressure, inspected wires. Mine is doing more of the 'hesitation on acceleration and only when warm thing'. Sounds like from reading HUNDREDS of posts on this it leans more toward the opti than the 'off idle hesitation - IAT, TPS thing'. Thing is my car only has 49K miles (kinda hard miles though I suppose). Is this generally too young for an opti to go? Thanks-
Re: At what age did your opti crap out?
I think Optis are supposed to last 100K. Mine went at 97K. Depends though..if water gets in them..or you have an oil leak, etc, etc. Some parts are just weaker than others. I dunno.

80k / 8 yrs
Cap & rotor section only. Optical sensor in the back is still running strong. Of course I only have 91k right now, so we'll see how long she lasts.

9 years, 78K miles, still going strong...power washed several times a month and had a major oil leak/chug of death. Replaced it with the new motor...new opti will probably last 1k miles.
