on mine, I had a flat, square box on top of the stock airbox. that had a couple of electrical connections on it. Mine is used as a junction to the headlight motors.
Why don't you unplug it and find out?

Yea I guess you say its on the top if you looked at it the way the whole intake runs. But yea it like hooks up to the actual air box also and has some electrical connections on it.
