It's similar to a Hypertech Power Programmer. You can get the same effect that this box provides by sending your PCM to a reputable tuner, like MadZ28, or PCM4Less. There have been other "boxes" like this one on the market before and alot of them have actually done damage to the engines of the people who installed them.

If you're serious about wanting to gain more hp with a tune, I would strongly suggest you talk to Ion Soltan at MadZ28.com. I as well as others on this board can attest that he does an excellent job, and one of his tunes costs about the same as that G-box.

 

I say stay away from them, looks like a no name version of the Hypertech module.

 

I concure!!! its crap nothing a couple of pocket change resistors from radio shack couldnt do.

 

haha thanks, it did look a little bit "BOOTY" so i wasnt going to buy anyway, but i was just wondering if anyone bought this or had something like it... thanks for the info

 

looks like a rip off to me.


It's just some resistors that tricks the ECU into dumping more fuel into the cyl.
