Went over speed bump and engine died...

I tried to crank it up a few times and failed. I waited a few minutes and it cranked right up. Then I went through a few huge puddles (it was raining quite heavily) and it cut off going through one. Again, I tried to start it up and it wouldn't. Now I'm stumped and stuck.

do you have a cold air intake? Is it the SLP style? Is your splash guard off?Did water get in your engine? The bump problem, did you scrape?Did you smash ur oil pan against the bump?Did you loose oil pressure?

It died going through a big puddle? Sounds like Optispark to me

But died going over a bump? Well now, that's a new one for me...

As far as dieing going over a bump, I would think that means a bad connection on either your battery or coil. Both would be easy to test and fix. Dieing when going through a large puddle usually points to the optispark. I haven't had trouble with this before but have read of it happening often enough.

I'd check your intake for water... then the coil.. battery and then if it still doesnt run, then most likely it's the opti.

I hope you didnt suck up any water, though.. That could be bad, could.

I fouled up going in a deep puddle too... but the water shorted out my MAF unit.... and caused my car to die... Didn't act right till I cleaned it off...then she started right up... check that...

Well, it ended up starting right back up. I guess something just needed to dry off. I don't have a cold air intake, its the factory one. I agree with the optispark idea because when I went through another puddle/bump, it tried to stall again, but I stayed on the gas and it came back to life.

I'm wondering if a mount has anything to do with this. One of my mounts is bad, but I can't figure out wich one. I get a clunking coming from right under my feet to the right. When I go over any bumps its more of a rattle.
