time to get a torch and heat that beast up, youll need to replace the front seal though.

thunderracing sells new hubs for 85$ - 50 after the core return, so 35 bucks.

edit: but i dont know if they will take a broken hub as a core.

Were you using the correct procedure when trying to remove it?

Weld the ear back on and try again.

Yes and No. I had the bolt in the center, but once it hit the bolt the ear popped off. I wasn't using air tools or anything, I wouldn't think just a wrench would pop iron like that. I have an idea, I'm going to a machine shop tomorrow. If anyone has any bright ideas, help me out here.

The reason the pulley is laying on the balancer is I was trying to think of ways to get the hub off with only two ears. I went and pulled a different hub off, a different LT1 and it came right off. I dunno, Caming this car is turning into quite the adventure.

A 4 and a half inch grinder,a cutoff wheel and a steady hand would make quick work of that!!! Or equivilent

Time for a big focking hammer.

When i couldnt get a puller to work, i took a 3 foot iron bar and put in behind an ear of the hub, and infront of the sway bar. Then had a friend pull on the top of the bar, while i tapped the ears of the hub tward me with the hammer. Slow but sure it came off.

Here's my bright idea. It's a really cheesy "photoshop" but who cares. The holes will be threaded and I can just use my puller again, if it doesn't work onto the new ideas. Tell me if anyone see's a problem with this. The horseshoe type thing will go behind it and kinda replace the 3rd ear and hopefully pull it off.

A two jaw hook puller will work.Rent one from Auto Zone.If it has moved, should be a piece of cake.It may take a 3 jaw to get hold of it.

Behind the 3rd ear, there's nothing left.

File or grind you a flat on the back of the broken ear to hook the puller on,or use a 2 jaw.

I'm looking at the two crank hubs I have, is there a difference between the Caprice LT1 hub and the F-Body LT1 hub. They're shaped slightly different, but I can't imagine them being any different.
