Which direction do I go in.

I can start working on my car again. So, here's where I need everyones help. BTW, hope everyones holidays went well and your catching up on the ole bills *sigh*

'Bout a $1000 budget give or take a $200. Current mods (Almost none) are in sig. Awaiting install:

2800 2.5 converter
Hooker shorties Jet-Hot coated.

Also, I'm purchasing a small Comp Cams grind along with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator from a good friend and fellow boardmember, CANTONRACER. (Thanks again dude)

So, with that in mind what should I purchase for install?

NEEDS:
SFC (BMR)
Cleanup head work
CSI water pump
Trans-Go Shift kit
extended tranny pan

Those are my ideas, and yours?

Thanks!

Things to think about....

Get a Silverado tranny pan and filter kit and put them on when you take the tranny out to in the tq. $45-$50
Get a decent tq cooler. $30-$40
I use generic trans oil because of the cost of the good stuff.
Consider an 1LE tranny mount while your at it. $20 I think.
Use locktite on the tq bolts.

Header wise...

You can buy the exhaust gaskets from A-zone.
I put a thin coat of silicone on them.
You might need to purchase exhaust flange gaskets.
You could put in some new O2's.

Other stuff...

Seal the elec wp with silicone.
Get a relay for the waterpump, don't make my mistake(s).
Reuse the intake gaskets.
Big beads of silicon should keep the dreaded intake manifold leak at bay.
I use a lot of silicone and copper gasket sealer whereever you can.
SFC's, weld in or bolt on?
LCA's, I would consider it.
Pulley set, your cost because of your LT1 set is less than mine.

Take a look at the intake runners on the intake manifold when it is off. Might be able to clean them up some.

There is a lot of other things you can do. When you get ready to do them, just give me a ring.

You should be able to use a cheap set of springs for the cam.
