We'll I'll be....

So today i read a post and see that you can't use a cloyes doubble roller chain on my 94. I hadn't realized it until now. It sucks....i was just going to do my electric water pump install this winter and now i realize i can't use the timming chain i wanted.

I WANT A TRUE ROLLER CHAIN FOR THE 93 and 94's!!!!

Re: We'll I'll be....

Sure you can,,,just need to do a few more "well worth it mods". I wouldn't mod around an 80$ roller chain but the overall conversion to a Vented OPTI, hotcam and dbl rller chain is, along with the Electric Water pump. Just start collecting parts and shoot for the spring time.

EDIT: Just saw you run the Delteg. in you mods list. Lets think about this. You are a 94 that ran the non vented opti
and the splined driven opti prior. You must still be running the non vented opti unless you upgraded to a 95 and a veneted system.
Fact is the cloyes roller will not work with the 94 timing cover, so it would need to be a 95-97 cover to use that chain. The 95's were pin driven to the optis which were vented.
Your upgrade now uses a CPS to fire the plugs with the Delteg I assume. With a hotcam and extended pin I would think you would be good to go with a 95-97 cover ,veneted opti and make use of the cloyes setup.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but you should be able to get everything to work.

The HD LT4 set is a Cloyes True Roller (single not double)

Here they are with a stock chain too

EDIT: Sorry, I guess it's not spline driven.
