12.98!!! yep, thats what I get for spending $3k on the car and cant even get a lower time than last year... I'm really dissapointed in the car right now, who knows maybe its the driver...

Last year I ran a 12.50 constantly on motor babying it off the line at 2500rpm and then getting on it.

I really need to get it on datamaster or something but I have problems with my laptop connection

Moser 12 bolt, same gears as before 4.11s
Holley 58mm TB
Racetronix 42# injectors-- could these be too big or something?

I ran today about 7 times and this was the freakin best I could do. It was about 94* today out and real sunny so im sure that had a little to do with it.

I went out looking to run a high 11 on motor and a mid-high 10 on nitrous, but left really dissapointed...

Last year I would run a 12.5x@115mph all the time on motor, but I lost 5mph and 5 tenths...

I think a lot of it has to do with the launch, I am used to taking it to 2500 then feathering it off the line. Well I figured that today I could launch at 4k and drop the clutch... First few runs I had the front QA1's set on 3 and rear on 6 and It bogged really bad, the front end would come up so much and then just bog down and lose all rpms.

In between all different runs, I set the qa1s at 4 on front and launched at 4500 and i blew the tires off basically. Then I tried back down at 3 and launched at 4500 and it bogged... then the final run I set them on 3 and launched it at 5k and the damn thing blew the tires apart again.

There were guys there asking me what was wrong because they remembered my car from last year running 11s... lol i felt like an ***

Once I get above 6k rpms it feels like the car starts to fall on its face... what could fix this?

I'm thinking I need to get lca relocation brackets, new lca's, and a drag race rear sway bar... any suggestions?

 

anything wrong with your ignition? plugs, wires stupid stuff like that?

 

ya know, thanks for reminding me, I was planning on changing plugs and wires but never got around to it...

I have a msd digital 6 ignition, but the thing is, the car seems to run fine and smooth

 

I'd go ahead and check plugs/wires. My car felt like it was kinda lacking but it didnt feel like I had a misfire so i check my wires and about 3 of them weren't pushed all the way down on the spark plug. They were just barely on there but now my car runs great.

 

It always sucks to spend money and not run faster, but then again all the stuff you did wont make a huge diff, heck the 12 bolt will make you lose power. I would check the stupid stuff first like said above, plugs, wires, fuel pressure, ect... Then i would try to fix your laptop connection and see what is going on with the pcm.

 

yea im going to change plugs and wires and hopefully get a little more suspension work...

 

*You added a heavy DS, a 12 bolt which sucks more power, ran on a hotter day
*the TB and injectors will only help you out of you need them, although it does look like your car is sucking in some air so they may have been in order, but i wouldnt expect too much of a gain from either.
*The madz tune is probably the only thing to net you a gain, but at that level a dyno tune is more what I would look into
*For the breaking-up up top I would look into ignition.
*Sounds to me like you know you need to play around with your launches and that will get you some good times.
