Weld Draglite recommendations for the rear?

I am getting ready to order some Weld Draglites with Mickey Thompson Drag Slicks 28*10.5*15. What size rim width would you go with 8 or 10 inches wide? Also what back spacing would you use for a 95 Camaro Z28 with a Moser 12-bolt rear end? Thanks for any info!

You may want to post this question in the Drag Racing Forum.

If you go to the M/T website, you will see they recommend a 9" wide wheel for a 28x10.5-15 ET Drag, and a 10" wide wheel for a 28x10.5-15W. I would recommend nothing less than the 10", since you will then be able to go wider if you decide to.

The 15x10" DragLite needs a 7.5" backspace. Places like Summit and JEG's don't list that backspace, but Weld makes them. Go to the Weld website and get the part # for the 7.5" BS, then enter that in the Summit or JEG's system and it will accept the order. They normally don't stock that part #, so they might need a couple weeks to get it to you.

You are aware you will need to grind the fins off the calipers, and that you need 3" studs for the "mag-style extra long lugs"????

Here is my setup with the 15x10 7.5"BS Weld Pro-Stars, and the 28x10.5-15W ET Drags:

Thanks fred for the info, did you modify the fender wheel so that the tires wouldn't rub the fenders?
