On smooth roads the car is dead quiet, but going over rough roads it makes a weird ratling noise from under the car. Started after I got a Vigi 3200. Now, its just a noise and the car has no vibrations and some times wont even make the noise. As far as the way the car runs, it runs awesome, no complaints. It was a little weird driving it after the converter but the car runs and drives fine. Its not leaking any trans fluid at all.

Have you checked the TC bolts and the pan cover screws???

 

Pan is on tight, I dont think the converter is loose because the noise is intermeitten and I cant feel any vibrations from it. Joe rode in it and he doesnrt think the converter is loose.

 

I have a driveshaft loop on my car and it was hitting the body for quite a while before I figured it out. Look at anything that could hit the body like the Y Pipe or connections from suspension items like the panhard bar. If it is hitting only on bumps sounds like something else other than a tranny problem...more like suspension or exhaust.

 

Talk to the shop and were thinking it may be exhaust. Tomorow I'm talking it to the shop that did the converter install, its a banging noise, does it on rough roads and on the freeway. Its some thing vibrating and making noise.
