Weird O2 happening!?

My cars SES light came on. Got it scanned at autozone. They said bad O2 sensor on the rear, right bank. Car was runnin a little goofy, then we got a killer rainstorm. After I drove a wile the SES light went out. Car is running great now, better than when light was on for sure. What do you guys think? Should I still get a new sensor or let it go? Thanks,

Dave

Your rear o2 sensor should only monitor the cats performance and has nothing to do with how the engine operates, it would through a code if the reading is of or the sensor is bad but wouldn't affect engine performance at all.

That is what I thought, but that's not the case. I am not sure exactly what happened in that rainstorm. Maybe something dirty got cleaned, and now works. I dunno, got me by the jolly danglers. Thanks anyway.
