I have this weird humming noise thats coming from the area around the intake manifold near the black plastic throttle shroud. When i put my hand on that shroud it vibrates real bad and it hums like crazy! Its really loud at idle and it continues when im driving. The only time it stops is when i put the a/c on or the defrost on. My buddy told me it might be a vacuum leak from one of the hoses that run alongside the intake manifold. I'm stumped and its driving me crazy! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Anyone have any ideas? I could definitely use any knowledge anyone has. I'm getting nickle and dimed to death by this car. If it is a vacuum leak how hard would it be to fix? Or what would i have to fix?

get a can of wd 40 or starter fluid or carb cleaner and spray along your vac hoses to determine if its them, then check spray your intake and check, you'll notice your rpms will increase when you've found your leak.
