I friend mentioned to me that Mobile One oil filters are the best for filtration, but horrible for flow. Well a couple weeks ago I brought up a point to him asking why under WOT my oil pressure gauge fluctuates down, then goes back up. This was starting to concern me and I didnt realize that the Mobile One oil filter was so poor in the flow numbers. Has anyone else noticed this using this filter? or would this not be relrated to the oil filter? I am due for a change very soon so I will go back to the Delco filter and see if it corrects the problem. Anyone else have any input on this??

Mobil 1 filter horrible for flow? Thats BS. Maybe it wasn't the best in this test people are refering too, but does that make it horrible? I'd rather have some good filtration than just the absolute highest possibly more than neccessary flow capacity.

 

i use a kn filter, it filters almost as good as the mobil 1, but fit flow much better. also ditch the oil cooler and use the bigger filter last 4 digits are 3002 instead of the oem 2002.
