Weird Electical Problem

i was driving the Z home from work the other day and turned onto a road, under normal throttle not getting on it hard, and all the sudden my radio cut out, the motor died, all my sensor lights came on and the tach redlined, then about a second later the motor came back on and everything was fine except my brake and ABS Inop lights were stuck on. It ran fine after that but today when i started it, as i cranked it my speedometer went up. It ran fine but when i left work, the battery was almost dead and it barely started. Any ideas, cause i have never heard of this happening before?

altenator? Is your car charging? Something like that happend to my dad's 99 blazer the radio went dead and the gauges went wacko. Turns out the altenator took a dump and the battery alone couldn't supply enough juice to run everything.

I thought it might be that but the car only died for about a second. And it started right up after it sat for 2 days but didnt want to start after it sat for about 4 hours.

A good start would be to check all battery/electrical connections including your grounds to see if any are loose.

Re: Weird Electical Problem

When my ignition switch fried, it did almost the very same thing. My gages started going nuts, the car was cutting in an out, and eventually wouldn't start.
