hey i have a 96 with the 6speed tranny, and i have been noticing a clattering or banging sound coming from the transmission channel. the best way i can describe the sound is it sounds like when your t-tops are lose, and they just kinda bang around...idk how to describe it, it happens for just a little while, then fades off, then will come back, most of the time when im slowing down, but i have noticed it when i accelerate and a few times when im cruising...no idea what it could be, help me!!! any ideas welcome...

 

Transmission mount? It will seem like its trying to burst through the floor eventually.

 

well sometimes it sounds like that!!! lol, ok well im havin the tranny redone in a little while, so think it can wait to replace the mount? what will happen if i dont do it soon?
