Decided to install a solid cam and lifters this weekend.
Pulled the car apart got the cam installed.
Changed out the Opti & Water pump.
Then.......the lifters, Comp Cams 871-16, won't clear the heads to go in.
Is this the same with after market hydraulic lifters?

Correct, we call Comp Cams and they said pull the heads, the lifter are .300 taller. I said come join us in our Rheindeer games.....

 

Wow, never heard that one.
