Copy and paste. It won't post as a link for some reason, keeps doing that asterisk crap.

Something really screwy is going on with that. I can't post anything to do with it without it deleting it.

Just take the spaces out, add the www

cz28 has a filter on it that is why it would not allow you.

Question, should I and is it safe to pour seafoam into the crankcase?

It should be..

But like anything else, disturbing the system in that manner may cause problems. Sometimes cleaning or replacing parts can cause other old parts to stop working.

I would think it would work fine as long as your engine has had a regular maintenance shedule. I wouldn't run that stuff in there for very long, though, if it only takes 20 minutes to clean out the top of the engine it shouldn't take long to clean out the bottom. When I do mine (I've got the seafoam, need to find a time to do it without having the entire neighborhood wonder what's going on ) I'll just poor some in the oil the same time I put it in the intake, let it sit, drive it, then change the oil.

If they do, rev it up to create a smoke screen and then bolt.

Those pics don't look too bad, other people have mentioned fogging the entire neighborhood...

Seafoam Vid

Ya, seafoaming can be a cop magnet. Go somewhere as unobtrusive as possible, seafoam it, and bolt! I just helped a budy seafoam his Z28 a few days ago and took a vid cuz I knew what was coming. lol... If you wanna see what to expect, check it out! www.jcob2.com/seafoam.wmv

Seafoam questions

I just brought a 97 SS with 109,000 mi engine runs very strong, mostly highway miles.
I assume that Seafoam is used to completely clean the inside of the engine/oil opassages etc. here are my questions:

Would seafoming an engine with this much mileage help or hurt?

Will all the smoking mess up the catalytic converters?

Where can I get Seafoam and how many cans should I use?

i have read a few older posts about he seafoam and i really want to do it to my car. eveyrone says it will run smoother and better and maybe restore some lost power. the thing is in the older theread i read about seafoaming the car, the o2s might go out and you have to replace them? dont know which ones tho the fronts or reaars but a few guys aid they had to replace their o2s cuz the car would run like crap after seafoaming it. something with the seafoam that puts deposits in the o2s and the sensor wont work right so ti takes a crap. well lmk also where to get it. autozone? how much is it? id like to do this soon

hehe, well just an update, it really is not as much smoke as it seems, and in the video, it is not really all that bad. I put 2 cans in, stuff is addictive, might throw in another 2 lol. it only puts on a smoke screen if you step on it then it goes away.

I dropped in 2 cans total 1 can through the vacume hose into the tb, half a can in the gas tank, and half a can in the block/oil seems to run alot better, smoother now. Will be changing the oil in a few days so that should clean i out. Defnitely worth it, so good i bought another 2 cans to have on standby, may do my daily driver with seafoam. avail at napa auto parts.

I've had a page up for a few years about using Sea Foam at http://members.nuvox.net/~on.roz/cars/z28/seafoam.html (used to be a different address, which still points to the new one).
