Weak spark?

Weak spark?
My car seriously misses when the plugs are gapped at .05. It runs without missing, albeit with a loss of power, when the plugs are gapped at .04??? Questions:
1) WTF would cause this?
2) Would an MSD A6L fix this? If so, will it work with my Delteq?
