I missed the flange type on the 4bbl. The 90mm stuff is a 1300cfm setup though, i really cant imagine any small block NA motor needing more than that.

It was designed for large displacement N/A motors or would probably work well with forced induction applications with ported heads with excellent flow range characteristics from 2500 to 8000 rpm. I would agree a ported factory LT-1 or LT-4 works very well on board range of high performance street applications. T
The plenum and ports of the LT4 intake are VERY much the same as the LT1 or rather some of the LT1 intakes it does however leave some more room to port and raise the runners which certainly could help an engine make more power but ONLY IF MODIFIED FROM STOCK FORM as yours was. In stock for the LT4 intake is not an upgrade just offers some features that allow it to do some different things without the welding the LT1 intake would need.

I think MG covered it.

Could be a airflow issue.... I know spacers under the elbows help but kinda defeat the purpose.

back on subject, I do think that a new intake in 'single plane' style converted for fuel injection would really sell for our motors. Look at how many new people ask questions on here about how much a gain they will see swapping to the lt4, just assuming it's a bolt up install just like going from ls1 to a ls6 intake.

Asking is one thing.... But from what I have seen , it seems that over the years lt1 guys have asked for things , but only a few buy. Look at a few years ago . How many people asked for turbo kits,........... and how many people actually plunked down the cash. Yea, an intake is cheaper than a turbo kit, but I have seen alot of asking and questions over the years , but not many seem to be much more serious than just asking.

It would be nice to have this part, but if you really wan't it , there are people out there that convert intakes already. An off the shelf part would be nice, but don't hold your breath. I have thought about having one converted, and may get one when I get my new engine, but it will most likely be from a shop converting it instead of a new product being realeased. Don't let people's questions get you to think that there is a big demand. Maybe if the part was just bolt on go , it would be different though since a conversion may involve things that scare some, like fuel rail , throttle body stuff etc..... but again i have seen alot of people ask for things in this forum, but not put down the cash.
