which way are arrows supposed to point on stock pistons

Does anyone know which way arrows on stock pistons are supposed to point? Down i hope.

Since the stock pistons arent offset pin and have valve reliefs on both sides of the piston I dont think it would matter, other that it will change the forward/backward orentation of the rod main from what it was when you took the the pistons out.

Doesn't matter on stock pistons from what I can tell. Like was already mentioned the reliefs are on both sides so there can be no mistake.

good enough for me, was just curious because machine shop reassembled them and i made them so the arrow was pointing towards exaust.
