Wats a better sound?

wats a better sound for a DD 95 LT1...remember something that wont get me hassled by the cops....... either true duals with long tubes that dump before the axle with cat.......or long tubes with gutted/no cat and flowmaster catback?

i was thinking about true duals but im thinkin they would be too loud.....

im now thinking long tubes with gutted cat and the cat back....so its louder then i have now..."cat and no longtubes with catback" but not too loud like true duals......

wat does everyone think?

Re: Wats a better sound?

True duals won't be too loud as long as you have a reasonable muffler on there. My dads 454 Chevelle with true duals is quiter than my cat-back exhaust (no cats). It just depends on what mufflers you choose.

Re: Wats a better sound?

for an LT1 go magnaflow all the way. You CANNOT beat the sound of mags on LT1s Borlas for LS1 though..

Re: Wats a better sound?

My setup sounds amazing above 2.5k but below that its quiet enough to putt around the neighborhood without waking anyone up. I would say go hooker catback no cat with longtubes.

True duals, mine are fine during cruising, but once I get on it they wake up.

Re: Wats a better sound?

LTs no cats and duals.

Keep it 2.5" with a glasspack or bullet and you will be fine. Mine is quite until you step on it.

Re: Wats a better sound?

I have long tubes, an off-road y-pipe, and a cutout and I still don't feel it is loud enough.
