Waterpump rigging...
Waterpump rigging...
I beileve my waterpump went south.. I can get a new one in a few days.. and I absolutely need the car. If I refill the radiator everytime I drive it..I can go from home to work.. (2miles tops) can I plug the seep hole at the bottom and still be ok for a few days? Its leaking from there and I think its just pushing the water out instead of into the motor (Its still flowing good...just leaks)
Well I know how you feel, mine pooped water for a long time, I'm talkin 10 thousand miles long, it really sucks knowing its going all over the opti. I think they only put the hole there for you to know that its leaking, theres no reason why it should hurt flow any if you cover it up, Not sure if you can plug it well enough, but its worth a try. I could be wrong about plugging it, so wait for a few replies before tryin it. I can't see it screwin anything up, but who knows
I was told that the weep hole in the water pump serves as a vent for the bearing inside there, if it is plugged, bearing will get too hot and seize up water pump. Just wanted to reply, dont know if it is true or not.
