Waterpump removal....

Is removing the fans and connectors necessary and what tools do you think i need? Thanks.... btw if anyone knows a easy simple way, (first time) I would love some pointers

Removing the fans will give you more room to work so you can ratchet on it... Unless you want to spend 5 hours turning box wrenches.

You'll want to have a socket/ratchet and box end wrenches.

We just did ours this weekend and I took the radiator out also didn't wanna take a chance on hurting it too! Once you do that its a breeze. If your lucky enough to have a die grinder put the wire wheel on it and remove the old gasket its kinda hard on the right hand side not much room but it sure beats scraping with a gasket scraper!

I don't really scrape much anymore since I use copious amounts of gasket remover. That stuff is a GODSEND.

No need to pull the radiator. You only need to remove one fan to get clearance.

basic hand tools. be careful not to drown your opti when the antifreeze starts coming out. otherwise a breeze
