This ? is to anyone who has bought a rebuilt waterpump from ebay. I just received mine today and it looks like its been spray painted silver?! Is it paint or has it been coated with something. I'm just worried about it flaking off and going into the engine. Thanks

 

The 2 ive had have definentally not been painted or any material that chips. I would make sure you can clean off as much as you can. Next time you needa waterpump just get one at autozone.

 

nah...go with electric. it's easier to change out when you have to. just change the electronics...leave the actual housing on the car.
