Water transfer tube removal... Am I asking for it?

Well my clutch repair and general tune up has become a complete one over of every freeking square inch of this car. So far I found a bad water pump (leaking out the weep hole ), heater core is plugged (I hope that's all it is), the clutch of course, and now I seem to have tracked down a leak to the water transfer tube on the backside of the engine (between the heads).

Has anyone experienced a leak in this area?

I am wondering if just tightening the bolts will take care of the problem or if I need to remove the two bolts from the back of the heads and reseal. Also, is this going to require engine removal? I will be dropping the transmission so I think I can get to the passenger side bolt (this is the one I see leaking), but I can't even SEE the driver's side.

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated.

(man I getting sick of finding little things, but at least I know the car will be in tip top shape when I'm through.)

Well, if you have to remove either of the steam pipe bolts (and most people ruin them getting them out), I would replace them with the new, better bolts (GM PART # 12552974, need 2) and seals (10108689, need 4). If you end up wanting a whole new steam pipe assy, get 12556260 (for 1995-1997 cars). It includes the bolts and seals.
