Water pump leak?

Water pump leak?

is this a big problem my car has 100,000 miles on it and it just started to leak recently. i am sure its teh pump but i cant tell exactly where its comming from but its leaking on the bottom its a very slow leak like maybe 10 drops a minute. what do yall think

First find out exactly where its leaking. If you let it go too long it will ruin your otpi. If you think its the pump itself go get one for 100-150 and swap it out. But check first maybe you have a cracked hose or thermostat housing.

The leak that you're seeing is coolant coming out of the "weep" hole. So basically your waterpump is shot. The weep hole is there to indicate when the waterpumps go out and is in need of replacment. I'd start looking for a new gm,meziere,or CSI to replace it.

Yea, if it is coming out of the hole on the bottom of the water pump its time for a new one. Just make sure it is the water pump before you get a new one. You don't want to go through the trouble of replacing it if it isn't the problem. And as previously said, don't let it go, your opti will remind you if you do.
