I am going to replace my water pump tomorrow and i was just wondering if anyone had any good tips on things i should look out for when i install the pump. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Rhino ramps, lots of towels, fresh coolant,patience, the right tools. Pull the fans,razor blades to clean around engine block holes. Take your time., its pretty easy to do.

 

A couple things come to mind...keep coolant off the optispark and you might have a little trouble getting to the middle bolt that is slightly behind the power steering pulley. If you just unthread the bolt completely from the block, you can leave it in the water pump until you can remove the whole pump. Just be sure to put that bolt back through the new pump before you go to mount it.
