water pump drive gear

water pump drive gear

does anyone know or been inside the timing chain area and know how to remove the waterpump drive gear??? its on top behind the cam gear...because somehow i jammed and stripped the waterpump drive gear and the cam gear was damaged adn now the wpdg is stuck and idk if i have to pull the inatake manifold to get to it or not...thanks for the replies tonite i need them by tomaro bc thats when im supoposed to go work on it...thanks

You just take off the timing cover and cam gear. Then remove the 2 bolts for the water pump drive gear and it mostly likely will need to be hammered from the back side out. You maybe able to leave the intake on and some how rip it out the front but i would probably plan on pulling the intake.

Water Pump Shaft Removal

When you get to this page click on the left where is say's Water Pump Shaft Removal, basically you pri it out, there is no way of getteing to the back side of it unless you remove the intake.
