Water pump bolts, reuse or replace? Part #?

This will be the 2nd time I've used the origional stock waterpump bolts. It's probably safer to just replace them. They look like hell anyway.

Part #? Thanx

They are a pretty common size, readily available. 2 bolts are 3/8"-16x2" and the other 4 are 3/8"-16x4".

Really unnecessary. Waterpumps are not stressed parts like a head bolt, cam bolt, reciprocating assembly fasteners, etc. that can wear out or fail after repeated torquing. Unless the bolts are damaged or you are changing them for asthetics, i would leave them alone and save your money.

They usually get gunked up living in the water jacket like they do....I'd replace them as they don't cost much. Be sure to clean the bolt holes carefully using a thread chaser as sealer often builds up there.

I've replaced my waterpump/opti 4 times now and reused the same bolts...however I've always cleaned the bolts and bolt holes with degreaser and brush. Seems fine to me. No need to waste money, unless you see something wrong with the bolts.

The bolts are just gunked up with crap. If I can't get them cleaned up then I'll just replace them.
