Re: Water Pump

The electric water pump will no longer be cam driven so it should free up about 10rwhp on average.

Re: Water Pump

I just switched from a stocker to a Meziere...Before and after dyno runs yielded 9-10 rwhp across the entire rpm range...Your results may vary with your mods...most see 5-10 rwhp...There are also "watchdog" systems to warn you before the pump/seal fails...I have noticed that the car seems to run a touch hotter at cruise, but much cooler in traffic. Probably because the pump turns at a constant speed and does not increase with rpm as the stocker does...Made sure that there was no air in the system...So far so good...

Re: Water Pump

I don't have any data, etc, about the HD pump, but if its the same size, etc...I'd look into it..I don't run anywhere near hot. It used to stay at the first line or a hair over at cruise (70mph) now its a little higher off of the first line, but as soon as you slow down to stop and go driving it runs below the first line...When it warms up later I may look to make sure there is no air anywhere in the system...

Re: Water Pump

I have been looking for those "watchdog systems" None on site. On a post not too long ago, someone was selling this kinda stuff which had a
warning light for when electrical system failed, there was a sign up list
lotsa people signed up for the $50 item, waited for few days, decided to buy, and the site disappeared swiftier than it had come on line. If you or anyone has any leads for these kinda systems..please..post.

95Z28LT1A4 ..Red w/ Black Ttop. too much to list.
