A warning to Delteq valve cover mount users!
A warning to Delteq valve cover mount users!
When you mount your coils to the bracket, do it OFF the valve cover first!
If you don't then the self tapping screws will protrude through the bracket, and start digging into your valve cover as you tighten them down
My suggestion is to mount it OFF the valve cover, then grind down all the bolts about flush with the bracket, that way you don't have to worry about them digging into the valve cover when you take it on and off.
Sucks ruining a perfectly good powdercoat job.
Or, do something to space the bracket a little higher off the valve cover.
Just some friendly advice. Anyone else run into that problem?

Hi Dave,
We have revised the bolts that come with the kit to eliminate this problem (slightly bigger bolts so that if the screw is over torque it will not strip or hit the valve cover). Let me know if you would like for me to send you out anther batch of bolts for your unit.
Thx Jim
