Jeff is kind of stumped with this as well. I used my powerscan and a fuel
pressure gauge to send him some data but it all looked good. Here is what
I sent to Jeff:

Readings were taken during WOT pulls in 3rd gear from approximately 4000
rpm up to 5500 rpm. The problem point is at approximately 4800 rpm.

- baro = 103
- map @ problem point was between 97 and 98
- IAPW (both) was from 18.8 to 19.0 at problem point
- fuel pressure was set at 48/58 and would drop 2 psi to 56
- timing and knock retard above 4500 was 30/2 respectively

He has the timing table set to 32 above 4500 so even the timing is right. It
could be higher, but at 30 with the KR it would not cause the problem.

Basically it's still a mystery.

Why is the FP set so high?

I wanted to see if I have fuel pump issues assuming that if the pump
lost more than a couple psi of pressure in the 50-60 range it may be
the weak link. Since pressure only dropped 2 psi it seems like the pump
is fine. The injectors, although close at 19ms, are not maxed either.
I guess it's time to do some real data logging and maybe check with
your reference for data logging. I'm almost ready to by some software
and do it myself. Heck, it's only another $350. LOL

Re: Want a performance cam but no lope

I dont' have it in my car yet but have a CC 305 on 114 lsa to install with comp 1.6 pro mags and think this cam should be pretty mellow and work well with my wet nitrous system.

I wanted minimal lope with decent power gain.Car is auto another reason didn't go any bigger.Plus the CC 305 was on sale lately.

Re: Want a performance cam but no lope

I just ran a 12.495@115.10 bogging off the line in my crane 210/224 and the lope is barley noticable.
