Re: want to do a cam
Combination Motorsports is doing a cam package setup you may want to look into on the Support Vendors area. It would more than likely save you some cash. But it looks like a nice setup. Perhaps some new lifters and dont forget all your gaskets, seals, new timing set, GM guideplates for the NSA rockers, and maybe even an opti or waterpump while its off.
Some other suggestions on a cam - GM 847, XE 223/239, XE 230/236.

Re: want to do a cam
Yea you DEFINITELY want to do lifters while you are in there. Same with the valve springs. When I did my cam swap I inspected the stock lifters and decided to leave them in.....well the first time I went to the track, on my second run I collapsed at least two of the lifters (still ran a 13.5 @ 106.xx though) So I had to take it all apart again and put in the Comp R's anyway....
