In alot of cases, the obd1 will NOT throw a code....Mine doesnt..

When I put in the 40lb/hr injectors, I converted to OBD1 and had all emissions codes removed just to be sure. The car runs like a dream, although it is a bitch to start sometimes. Oh well.

I took mine off because the fuze kept blowing due to moister in the pump. The only real benifits you get from removing this is access in that part of the engine is greatly improved and weight if your big into drag racing. On obd1 you shouldn't trow any codes as long as the fuze remains in the fuze box and is still good. I got rid of all of that tree hugger garbage on my new motor, and it's so much easier to work on now!!!

As long as there's no visual inspection. The AIR only operates for a few minutes at start up with a cold engine. It helps to get the cat up to operating temps.

Maybe I'll leave it out when I finish my opti change. Hmm. As for visual..no prob, I'll just put it back in at smog time. I'll keep searching about this.
