want to blow some money

hey i want to blow some money and want some ideas and plus i have made some decisions but i can't make up my mind fully lol. also in canada our money doesn't go as far hehe.
i was thinking i want MAC 1 5/8" headers with offroad pipe and hooker cat back and also cai.
tires i have right now are hard tread and are like brand new (came with car) and they seem to really suck with traction. i would imagine nittos or bfgs would really help my 60ft a lot? i want somethin that sticks really really nice and also something that is affordable.
could i get mid to low 13's with the above mentioned.
if there is anything you would change just let me know. i dont think i can really afford lt's so i want a really good shorty.

also on top of all this i have to change plugs and wires cause at idle sometimes the car will miss and run rough and u can smell it pouring out unburnt fuel. im thinkin its just plugs since they are original. 65k miles.

sometime in future i want a torque converter and shift kit and then go into rr's and cam and heads and all that.
am i starting out in a good spot with the above?

I think you are starting out correctly. The headers are a great choice i love mine. You might want to get them coated as well. Then CAI, off road pipe. I personally dont like the hooker exhuast but thats my opinion. I would rather have SLP loudmouth, borla or something preferably B&B if you wanted to spend that much.

As for tires. Pick you up some cheap salad shooters and go buy some nitto 555 dr's they wear good and provide great traction.
Before you do heads and cam though i would definently go with gears/converter first.

Then beef up the suspension with some SFC's and work on rear end.

Lastly i would jump into the motor with the heavy mods.

Just my opinion.

i would go with tires, lca, phr, relocation brackets and springs. these alone will save you money and get you better et's. then go for the cai and exhaust. read the post about the suspension mods.

yea thanks man. im kinda thinking around the exact same things as you stated and in that order too. yea i would like to get some nitto 555 dr's and keep them seperate from my other tires so i can just throw them on at the track or when i want.

I know that it's not common place but I would recommened getting sfc's as soon as possible.

I say this because at this point you have rather low miles and the car should still be tight. The more you drive it, and it sounds like you plan to "drive"it, the looser the car becomes. With the sub-frames as an early mod you allow yourself a better long term platform for the future.

Also, i agree with what has been said, let the car breathe as well as possible then go into the suspension and drivetrain (i.e. tq. conv. and gears)

Good luck and have fun,
Adam

is it me or is the price of coated shorties the same or about the same as uncoated lt's? if they are, then make the sacrifice and get the uncoated lt's...u will never regret it if you did....

www.Sybersport.ca is based in Winnipeg.

Email Darren at info@sybersport.ca and tell him Grip sent you.

He'll give you the best prices on Mac 1 5/8" or Hooker 1 3/4" headers.

Spohn LCAs, Spohn relocation brackets, and a Spohn Torque arm from Darren. Darren was cheapest on this stuff. I would get the LCAs and relocation brackets first for suspension parts.

For headers Part Source is a bit cheaper if you know someone that works there. Same for Taylor plug wires.

Otherwise yeah darren is slightly cheaper than the rest of the guys.
