Walbro Pump installation....

All I have is the pump itself. I bought it used (255lph) and hopefully it will be good.

But anyways, what all will I need as far as clamps, wires, anything to make this little thing replace the factory pump. I found one pic that looks like the Walbro has a short wire harness extension, maybe? New tank hasket (if applicable) sock?

Thanks!
Graham

you can make the wire xtension yourself.. then you will need a small pice of 3/8 fuel line I think thats the right size and 2 small clamps for the fuel line and 2 clamps to hold the pump on if you need pics of all this I have a pump new in the box I am shipping it out tomorrow so let me know soon..

Alright, thanks! Basiacly just some spare 3/8" fuel line, clamps for it and clamps for the pump body. What about a sock or pre-filter?

Any advise for splicing in the extension (so I dont blow myself up)?

I bought a walbro from someone off the board and he sent me a kit along with it. When I installed the pump all I used was the wiring adapter/harness that pluged into the walbro and then into the factory wiring. It was a simple plug and go. Other than the harness I didn't use anything else from the kit. I did reuse the factory plastic fuel bucket and I pried off the flex hose off the old factory pump and then glued and clamped it to the new walbro to make sure it wouldn't come off.

Hey funina91ss can you help me out?

I just started installing my 255lph in-tank pump and I bought it new and it still didn't come with the pig tail plug and the filter sock, how can I make my own wire extension? I called the place I got it from & they told me to cut the stock plug and put 2 female connectors on there and fill it with non-conductive silicone or epoxy? This don't sound good to me how have you seen this done without the plug?

Thank you!
