Walbro 255?
Walbro 255?
Hey everyone. I have a '94 383 LT1 that I am eventualy going to supercharge. I am taking the engine out of my 92 and putting it into a 95. Is the Walbro 255 enough for a supercharged 383? I have an Aeromotive 11106 but don't want to cut into the cars fuel system like I did on the 92. If the Walbro 255 is good enough then I will put one of those in the tank and not mess with the cars fuel piping.
What do you think?

How will you add the extra fuel the engine needs under boost? If you use an FMU, that requires a pump that can flow at higher pressure, and you would have to look at the flow capacity vs. pressure curve for the Walbro to see how your expected max fuel pressure affects the pump capacity. If you are running the fuel system at a constant pressure, and using tuning rather than the FMU, that isn't a problem, and the Walbro will probably be adequate, depending on your max HP estimate.
