Re: Wahts The Story On The Cc 306 Cam...

From what I've heard it's a good choice That's why I'm putting one in my car next week... I'll be posting results in two weeks or so, whenever it gets done!

Uh for you, if you're set on the blower, you'd be better off with a blower grind, or custom grind cam. The CC306 has too much overlap which bleeds off cylinder pressure, though I think you can order a 306 in a 114 LSA which would be better with a blower, but still not ideal. The one I'm putting in my car is a 112 LSA, and I expect a pretty grumpy idle An A4 car needs at least a 2800, preferably 3200 or higher stall and 3.73 gears for this cam to work right. My car's an M6 and I'll be swapping out my 3.42s for 4.11s hopefully for christmas

This is probably one of the most talked about cams on here. Search and you will find loads of info on it. That said i agree with what was said above, i wouldn't use it for a blower motor either. I dont like the idea of having cams ground on a diff lsa to tame it down or whatever either it doesn't seem to work to well.

The FI forum would be a goos place to start. By far the most popular blower grind has to be the 224/236-114lsa.

I had 3.73 gears untill I went to the track and broke 7 teeth off the ring gear. After I broke the gears I bought a rear with 3.42's and I LOVE the 3.42's when I build my new rear after the first of the year (9") I will be putting the closest gear to 3.42 I can find in it (I think it's 3.50) I like the 3.42's better. It just depends what you wanna do with the car and how fast you want to be going when you wind them out.
